In the 21st century, to be accused of offending religious feelings is such an ancient accusation. This kind of ideology is suffocating to people. In the time of technology and freedoms that people have in the 21st Century, blasphemy of the holy spirit is an empty accusation. Maybe in the 19th Century this could be possibly understood but not in todays world. People are educated and should have the freedom of religion. The US has the problem of combining religion and government and its embarrassing to be a part of the country for that reason. To have religious feelings hurt just does not make sense. There are more pressing issues in society today that have a greater impact than offending religious feelings. Mental health comes to mind as a more pressing concern than religious feelings. This needs to be dropped and all charges need to be dropped. Shift the focus on helping those with mental health concerns. I am sure people have been impacted because of these kinds of accusations.
